Physical silver only. I believe silver we could see some crazy numbers. There is a lot of new tech that needs silver. If they come to fruition at the same time we convert back to a currency backed by gold/silver it will be insane.

I take it all back, sorry. What I do when I want to post details in the comments, is to first type it out in Word or WordPad, copy the text, THEN create the post and the headline, and immediately paste the details in the comments box. FYI.

If you are planning to go physical, and its more than you would like to store in a home-vault, talk to your local coin shop about any depository availabilty in the area.

Be careful, silver has been known to crash hard. Back in the 80s there was this silver fever. Lots of people lost a lot of money investing in silver. What I have been told about investing. It is like gambling, only put in what you can afford to lose and play different games. SO invest wisely and in different products.
Not that I disagree with being careful with your money and whatnot, but what happened in the 80s is much different from now. Look up the hunt brothers silver scheme. Basically a bunch of oil baron brothers tried to buy up the majority of the worlds silver and horde it all to force the price upwards. If I remember right they ended up getting like 40-50% of the worlds supply at the time under their name before someone caught on and regulators stepped in and changed the rules for things. They were leveraged to the tits trying to do this so they ended up being forced into liquidation by the banks they borrowed the modern equivalent of billions of dollars from to finance their scheme.
Which of course, resulted in 40-50% of the worlds silver supply being dumped onto the market all at once, resulting in the crash you're describing. MUCH different from what's currently happening with millions of individual people and hundreds/thousands of institutions (companies, funds, governments, etc.) buying it up and taking it off the market individually. The odds of EVERYONE dumping all of there stuff back on the market at once are much lower, I won't say impossible because nothing is impossible, but it's very slim based on existing behavioral patterns and considering the fact that a lot of "big buyers" are buying it up for institutional purposes like strategic manufacturing reserves, strategic government held reserves, etc. The type of thing that is NEVER gonna be put back on the market EVER because it'll either be used in manufacturing or held in a vault by the government.
Again, people SHOULD only invest what they can afford and not go crazy, but the situation now is MUCH different than what happened in the 80s. Its not another hunt brothers situation, this is systemic failure of the current monetary system and a flee to safe assets (with some investment ape like behavior as well like what happens with crypto and meme stocks, not much yet, but it'll grow over time as the prospects for stupid high returns become bigger)
iirc, the Hunt brothers didn't serve jail time, but huge financial penalties and lawsuits came out of their attempted coup of the silver market...not a financial wizard here, but things today are much different for the silver demand/supply...best of luck to all who are in or are considering getting in, pray about your circumstances, imo...
Pretty much, what they did wasn't like illegal to do for the MOST part (trying to buy up the world's silver supply), but if I remember right what DID land them in trouble was lying to lenders about how leveraged they were so they could go around to different banks and lenders and get basically the same leverage without telling any of them they ALSO had near identical loans with dozens of other lenders.
So that's why they got away without jail time, but it basically bankrupted all of them with the fines, debts they incurred, etc.
But yeah that was my main point, that today's silver market is MUCH different and the "hard crash" of the 80s was artificially engineered and in no way natural, but rather the result of greedy incompetence of literally 3 or 4 people (I can't remember if there were three or four brothers involved). INFINITELY harder to do that today with all the regulations in place, as well as the supply being diversified over millions of holders AND institutional players permanently taking it off the market for good for manufacturing usage and strategic reserves.
I am holding my IRA in cash accounts and want to invest in Silver since I do believe we are about to SPIKE above 100 per Oz.
But where to actually invest? Do I stay with my company and go for iShares fund SLV which tracks silver spot price? or maybe a mining fund? or a mix?
Or do I switch and go with a Silver IRA where I have actual METAL in my account, but I pay fees?
or should I cash out to actual dollars, take the tax hit, but then go buy silver bars and store them at home or at a safety deposit box and a bank?
What other funds are worth considering?

The only option is actual metal in your hand. Any sort of custodian account means that when the shit hits the fan, they have physical silver, and you have a piece of paper.

ETF's like SLV are very suspect to a 'Force majeure'. I see 'paper silver' as a dead end.
Obviously having physical silver is best, but check out PSLV (SPROTT). This ETF is buying actual silver, actual silver that you can have delivered to your home if you meet the requirements.
Do a mix,get some physical and move to a self controlled IRA and buy PSLV and a mix of the big miners. I own PAAS HL and AG.
If you want to go full retard,buy some call options. But don't touch them,if you don't have lots of experience trading them.
You might want to look at AGQ ProShares Ultra Silver. It is paper Silver, but with management it may be a good choice for an IRA. I've been holding it for about 7 years and have 5x'd my IRA. If it breaks 100 I will liquidate as the paper silver can crash, even as silver continues to rise...
Hyperinflation in the USA. Really think about that. The fiat dead. A dollar is no different than a peso. What many do not really comprehend is... The Fiat USA Dollar is already no different than a peso.
Image a gallon of gas costing .1 cent. That is where the USA Dollar used to be. Imagine being able to buy a house for 10 USA Dollars.
laugh right? yet that is one reason it is a very scary situation. We are so programmed to not comprehend this. We believe more dollars are better. So and so says he makes 200,000 usa dollars a year but homes are 2 million dollars and with a 50 year mortgage....
pure sickness. If hyperinflation really does happen to the effect that people will not be able to buy a bottle of water or a gallon of gas... Well those who can go hide for a couple months in the wilderness or desert should go do that. It is going to be bonkers. Why are we seeing National Guard popping up? Why is Chicago against it?

I know some will try and flee if things go bad, but flee where? Those who are the most intelligent and capable have already moved to the less populated areas and learned how to farm. Those like me have expectations of about 10 seconds if things get really bad. If I am not home, my first goal is to get home with the family. The 2nd goal is to sit there and pay attention to the neighbors just like did during 9/11.
Silver will not help during this phase if hyperinflation hits hard. Protecting what you can within the home. Leadership like Trump and such broadcasting will be more valuable for a week or two. The zombies will attack and they will team up. Much fires will be seen. This is where the suicide weekend might be proven. Neighbors who do not try and take the whole neighborhood over or organize in big groups will be the ones in the end and then we will need LOTS of silver to rebuild the new golden age. These sick vile evil fks that we have spoiled over the past 30 years have zero ability to help, build, work, create, preach, love.... They will burn out in a week.
The most important things at first will be who much faith in God and People you will have and how much lead you have.
I am sure I am completely wrong and hopefully I am. Hopefully we can continue with this much propaganda and coaching (grooming) without such stuff happening. lol.
I have 80 oz of SEs, over 220$ FV of 'junk' silver and wondering if it is enough...My budget is steched a bit thin, but if I do get the tariff funds, more WILL be had!!
