I think the CIA guy is inventing this, yet I think it's probably true
You seem to have the same quandary that I do. Given two entities with track records for lying, creative fiction, or distorting the truth, which one do you believe? For me, I'm dismissing this entire subject as irrelevant until more reliable sources can inform us otherwise.
Some kinder folks live by "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." I live by "Fool me once, F*#K you."
