Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way

Today, a guy from the local power company came on my property just as I was leaving for work at 3 PM. He was going to replace my meter with a smart meter unannounced. I specifically told him that I don’t want it and I ordered him off my property. He told me that it would be a $30 monthly charge to have a guy come out and read my old meter. I ordered him off my property a second time. He just went to the next house and installed a smart meter there while the owners were out. I went to work and my wife went shortly after me. When I got home, a new smart meter was freshly installed on my house.
You have to pitch a fit about this. Is it electric or gas? I work in the gas industry and we customers pitching fits about it.
Electric
Is something great going to happen before New Year?
Watching MSM try to spin what is going on with all the fraud with the Somalians is absolutely hilarious! "There is no way one person could uncover 300 million in fraud!!" Its called real journalism you retards.
MSM is so very entertaining. Amazing how people can really be so delusional.
Anyone had the current plague that’s going around? I pray you haven’t and don’t. My husband started feeling bad Christmas Eve night & by Christmas Day he was in full blown cough, fever, chills, congestion. I’m pumping him with meds & herbs. So far I’m good but don’t know the incubation period. A couple weeks before Christmas he said people were sick at work.
He’s not interested, but I’m eating horse paste. I was surprised to find out it doesn’t taste bad. Cough medicine is worse than ivermectin (the cream type). I bought it for rosacea because the doctor prescribed it. My part after insurance $300.00. So I’m a regular at Rural King. I was ordering on chewy until they sent me the ivermectin with a Vaseline type texture. They gave me a refund but now how to use it? It tastes awful! Too gunky for my face.
A while back I read a comment here someone put it on back pain and the pain was instantly better. I put it across my lower back. I’ve had pain there a long time with disc injury, nerve and muscle pain. Pain immediately went away. I had bad pain below the application area but not across lower back above hips. It has lasted over twelve hours.. I think I’ll blend with lotion so it’s not sticky feeling.
Here’s a video I watched recently about Comfrey. I knew the basics but didn’t know “they” wiped the history away and tried to get rid of the plant. It’s very interesting and saddening how long they have tried to make us sick.
Comfrey: This Plant Replaces All Fertilizer FOREVER. Why Did the FDA Ban It?
This account has a lot of similar information. In the 1960s, British trials documented something impossible: 100 tons per acre, year after year, from a plant that decomposes in 48 hours and requires zero inputs. Then in 2001, it vanished from every garden center in America.
This is the story of comfrey, the biological fertilizer factory that threatened a $230 billion industry, and the systematic campaign to erase it from public memory.
I’ve been researching and learning what’s in our (America) food over the past twelve years & I didn’t know what is shared in the video below. I’m not surprised, just didn’t expect this. If you don’t want to watch: basically they have figured out when we don’t chew food it’s as satisfying to us, it tricks our brain into thinking we are not full. Think about all the soft plant based protein bars that’s on the market over the past ten years, all are soft. I love them but don’t eat them anymore because I finally figured out they were full of sugar and seed oils. The other info is the sound food makes is another marketing thing. Sorry I don’t remember what it’s called in marketing terms. Basically it’s the snap, crackle and pop of rice crispy cereal. Popping and sounds of a drink can and more.
Why can't we stop eating certain foods? - BBC
Something happened to our food in the mid-70s to make it irresistible to people. Why are ultra-processed foods so irresistible, and how they have come to dominate food culture? This documentary by medical doctor and academic Dr Chris van Tulleken features interviews with former food industry insiders who talk openly about the way in which popular foods have been designed to be irresistible.
Stay well & warm frens.
I had a flu type something a couple months ago. My 10 year old has had hand, food, and mouth virus (2nd time). Nephews have had strep and some weird stomach virus. Many friends have or have had a flu type something.
Hope everyone gets well soon.
Same around my area lots of people are getting sick. But it’s normal this time of year. I remember when my daughter was in elementary and hand foot mouth virus was going around. I had never heard of it before then (mid 90s). Hoping your family stays well. So far my husband is the only one with serious virus. I’m seeing post on local Facebook groups and local news flu or flu like virus is going around. My daughter works at local clinic, she’s out on maternity leave. Her coworkers are saying the people with mild symptoms have Covid or flu. People with multiple symptoms are testing negative for everything. I’m pretty sure hubby caught it at work. My granddaughter had 101 temp & stuffy nose less than 24 hours. She’s not vaccinated and she normally doesn’t have the full blown virus like we get.
So sorry your hubby has been sick. I’m convinced everytime the sky is full of chemtrails, within a day or two everybody is sick. I’ve gotten to where everytime I see a plane throwing it across the sky, I point my finger at it and rebuke every intention it has to harm people, animals and our food. I have to say I love the apple flavored horse paste. I could eat it like popcorn💁♀️ but I don’t.
Hey chick, I hope you had a Merry Christmas. I don’t see the crisscross chemtrails like many speak of. Guess they know we have enough poison being sprayed by the farmers. I’m doing plain ivermectin that’s cream like. I can’t describe the taste. It’s kinda tart. So far I haven’t gotten sick. I’ve been very careful. I’ve only hugged him for the back and touched top of head. We were in the car today and it’s odd not holding hands. But nope, I’m not trying to get sick. He’s been the sickest I’ve ever seen him. I think he’s finally on the mend. I don’t have to rush to drink something to wash away the taste. I’m using the one that’s gel like on wounds and chronic pain areas. That claims to be flavored, nope just yuck. I’d hate to be force fed that. I got four so I may as use it. It really does numb the pain for about 24 hours time. Lidocaine doesn’t last that long. Take care fren.
I did have a good Christmas. It was relaxing and calm this year. My mama is doing great at 84 and the grandboys are the light of my life. I’ve been well and healthy. God is good.
Great to hear. Blessings to you and family.
You as well. I still have you in my contacts if you ever want to chat.
Send me a message so I’ll have your number. I have lost a lot of contacts after an update. Even lost mil, sil’s, so many more.
Okie dokie will do
I have such thick comfrey plants! They would take over if I let them. I give the plants away, as they will sprout from any decent root segment. we make salve, a cup of comfrey root tea is very good for coughs, just the smashed up root raw, placed on a wound will help heal it. I have used it on bedsores of people I have cared for, miraculous skin healing. The leaves used as mulch is a great way to get cal/mag into the soil. My son brews a "tea" from it in 5 gallon buckets, then bottles it, and sells it at the farmers market as a "green manure tea" fertilizer, and my goats scarf it down when let out to do weed wacking and trimming. It is also an amazing food for bees, the plants when in bloom buzz with it. 40 years ago I planted some seeds, now it fills in so many spots on my land. It can become invasive. the roots know no bounds, and it grows on the worst soil, always making it better.
I am going to buy some seeds and start growing some for my family too. Thanks for the inspiration!
I need to get seeds and plant some. It sounds like a miracle plant for sure. Thanks for sharing all the ways to use it.
Headline I read today on GAB: Mark Zuckerberg, an outspoken critic of "man-made climate change", shows off his new $300 million, 287-foot mega yacht, powered by four gigantic diesel engines.
Yet another stark reminder that Net Zero is only for the peasants
Why do you write gab in all caps?
Should be jailed. Audit him, jail him, seize assets. But nooooo, instead he will live to be well over 85 and his wallet will only keep getting fatter.
FB playing a pivotal role in deceiving Nations into the Lockdown and Poison Jabs. These assets belong to the People now.
Why do you say this?
And how do you know?
I would be afraid to put my foot on that yacht.
GAW should Commendeer it after the Great Awakening and use it for a Global Fren Fest..
I’m on board with that 👍
I searched and was going to post a pic. I found out he owns a bigger ship with helicopter to accompany his yacht. Wow, I can’t believe people fall for the lies these rich people and celebrities say about climate change. Plus all their talk about providing clean water and food, begging for donations.

If you want to enrage a narcissist, ask a direct question, and demand a direct answer. It will be an experience similar to a exorcism.
That’s funny & true. My dad is a former alcoholic and narcissist. I remember everything and my brother has blocked most of trauma. He now lives with my dad & gets his BS daily. Many years ago his psychiatrist told him to talk to dad like he talked to him. My dad is stunned when my brother does this. I have my dad’s personality so I don’t have issues like that. He doesn’t even try with me. Occasionally he tries to control me & I don’t take it. We all live beside each other, you can’t get away from him. I bought a family house cheap so moving isn’t an option at the moment. Plus, yeah I’m a sucker, I feel a responsibility to be available if he gets bad off from old age. I love him but not like I loved my grandparents. It’s taken my mom passing 18 months ago to realize how much he broke her. Families can mess you up! Thankfully I haven’t let his ways influence me as a negative mom & wife. I just learned fifteen years ago what a narcissist was. I just thought he was an asshole SOB, etc. The thing with narcissists they are like Jekyll & Hyde. That’s what my mom called him behind his back. People outside of family think he’s amazing. We would meet people from work and couldn’t believe how much they loved him. In my thirties I worked in the same office he had worked as a manager. I got so tired of people praising him. After a few months I would tell them, you didn’t have to live with him and you don’t truly know him. Don’t get me wrong he’s provided for me and never missed a day of work. That’s a type of love but not the nurturing type that kids need. If I needed something I could ask him, but I don’t, thankfully I haven’t had to. I can’t say the same about my brother. He’s been an emotional train wreck since he was early twenties. Now he doesn’t have a choice about living with him. He’s not very strong, emotionally. It’s funny I see so many clips on social media about narcissists. It’s light bulb moments for sure.
Phew! Thanks for the insights.
Hang in there, fren.
You’re welcome fren. I’m hanging & good😊
Thanks for taking the time to share those details with me. Wishing you a wonderful 2026.
Your welcome. I probably talk too much about my family issues. My poor husband is my therapist. He just sits and listens. It dawned on me recently after a fiasco with my dad a few months ago. Even when someone like this dies the victim is never free. You will have that baggage until you leave this earth. Of course with time you can get better. I’m nothing like the train wreck I was in high school. If a person doesn’t have a trustworthy listening person in their life I believe therapy is the way.
FYI your username also makes me think & laugh. My dad only drank Budweiser back then, way before light beer was a thing. I would drink anything in my wild days but not beer. Every time I tried beer it was gross. To this day I can’t stand the scent of beer. But I did have a really comfy white long sleeve tshirt with Budweiser across the front in red. I wore it so much the in was almost pink from fading. It was my beach shirt back in 83-85. Some guy stole it from me and ai didn’t realize until a few weeks later. I knew instantly because he always asked me for it. I think of those care free days when I see your post😆 I don’t hate beer, just like the cigarette or the gun it’s not the fault of the harm. It’s the person. However I do know addiction is a disease and don’t blame the person, my dad. I struggle daily with addiction to sugar. Most days I’m beating it. Happy New Year to you also.
When I visited Myrtle Beach in 1983 I was gifted a Budweiser Beach Towel and I loved it. I used until it was worn out.
That’s cool. Fabric was real back then, not this plastic junk we have now.

Is there any use comparing people to each other, or is everyone on their own distinct path?
Sometimes yes but usually no. It strongly depends on what people, what situation, and what criteria you are using to compare.
Those two are not opposites.
Ahh, I love these kinds of ponderings. I believe people fit into personality types, and each of those types can be predictable as to what their mechanical flexes are. To achieve consciousness, a person must first be aware of what mechanical flex that they have, and then develop an ability to control mechanical reactions or actions. For example, extroverts will appear more confident in a crowd, while introverts may appear less confident. An extrovert will be drawn to paths in life that involve being around people, organizing, sales, social leaders, while the introvert may be drawn to contemplative studies, caregiving, homemaking. These are all mechanical, the person just follows the path that seems most natural to them. Our own "distinct" path can only be realized if we are aware of our "type" following a path that has nothing to do with consciousness, or choice, we just follow the groove we were created with. Serious work begins when we resist the urge to do what is mechanical, and push ourselves to do something that is truly a conscious choice. Growth occurs, options open up, when we force ourselves to do the opposite, and then observe our feelings and sensations about that. An extrovert goes to a rally or a sports event, they cheer and jump up and feel connected to the entire crowd, an introvert sighs with relief that a social commitment has been cancelled so they can go return to their books, or sewing, or tinkering, alone. Both people think they are following their own path, but in "cosmic" reality, they are just showing true to type, there is no decision making, they just follow the groove like water flowing downstream. The growth occurs when we choose to go upstream, against the flow. Not as a lifestyle, but as an excercise in self awareness. God has created us with more than our type, though. Each person does, in fact, contain all possibilities of being, the artist is capable of rebuilding an engine, the mechanic can learn to play the violin. I do believe that our Creator wants us to wake up and use all of our burners. Some cannot, due to disability, life trauma, or "accidents", those that rise above those challenges usually can because of support, prayer, and in some cases divine intervention. Sit back on any bench in any city park, and just watch people, what you will notice is the majority of people are acting out roles they were pushed into a long time ago, it is what we call the "social order". When we become aware of our roles, we often find ourselves feeling empty, controlled, or life meaningless. At that point we become vulnerable, we seek a leader, a cause, anything to give our lives meaning again. I hope that those who find themselves at that point give themselves over to God, become right sized, and dare to choose something they may never have tried before. Can we all achieve consciousness? I am not sure of that, because Jesus Christ, son of God, the great master and Lord of this world, used the statement "Let those who have ears hear, and let those who have eyes, see." This tells me that not all men have the capability of becoming "distinct". It"s not easy to be distinct, all kinds of hurdles are thrown at us, the hurdle of ego being the biggest, the hurdle of temptation to go back to sleep is always there. Without prayer, these hurdles will defeat our individual purpose. Our purpose can be found in countless books, I have read a lot of them, but always return to the Bible and writings of the masters, such as Saint Augustine, Kierkegaard, Thomas Merton, etc.
Nice reply! As an exercise, I'll try to monitor what actions/ thoughts are automatic in me and then see what i could choose to do, if I took some time to think about it.. That reminds me of the book ''Thinking Fast and Slow'' by Daniel Khaneman where our automatic reactions are 'biases' to help us quickly make sense of the world, but can be wrong in many cases.
We see similarities and differences in everything; we are, after all, pattern matching life forms. We humans were created with free will so, yes, all of our paths are different.

Some days It's too warm to fight A slow hot wind
There in the shade Like a cool drink waiting She sat with slow fire in her eyes Just waiting
