May '24- Designer of Minnesota's new state flag, Andrew Prekker, isn't bothered by criticism: "It's an important change", from Luverne, MN pop 4,946 (2020), 200 mi SW Mpls
"Vexillology research, which is about experts in flags," he said. "Polling on different websites to see what people wanted to see on the flag, and I also did a lot of research into Minnesota history and culture."
Prekker's original design was modified by the State Emblems Redesign Commission, which kept the North Star and abstract shape of Minnesota, opted for all blue, which Prekker says represents water.
wiki--dark blue field representing the night sky and the state's shape, an eight-pointed star symbolizing the North Star, and a light blue field representing the state's abundant waters; the star is based on one prominently featured in the Minnesota State Capitol rotunda.
Im of the opinion that all state flags need a redesign. 40/50 are terrible. The best are Alabama, New Mexico, Alaska, Texas, Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, South Carolina, and Georgia. While i don't like the association of the new MN flag, its actually a much better flag design that the og flag.
Maybe if it was based on AMERICAN things, and not SOMALIAN garbage flag things, I'd be with you.
MN didn't even get a say in, or even a VOTE on changing the flag, the fascists in government simply changed it on their own, in honor of their somali rulers.
Again just from a flag design perspective is actually a good design. Maybe just borrow some colors from the old flat and make the 8 pointed start a 5 pointed star, I think i would be okay with that
Minnesota was not allowed to vote on this flag, it is an illegitimate flag.
Wow...I hate this!

Symbolism will be their downfall.
When they change the state flag, they show their true masters.
