Must have been hit with a "pulse" weapon or maybe a frequency weapon of some sorts. Who know what the military has that we have never heard of!
Sounds a bit like Havana syndrome but with a more sudden onset and shorter recovery. Maybe U.S. military figured out what causes it, reverse engineered it, and improved it..
No reverse engineering required.
