I am reporting behind enemy lines from Peoples’ Democratic Republic of Massachusetts. We live in a quiet part of Central Massachusetts and occasionally hear medical helicopters or small planes. For the third day in a row, we hear military helicopters (UH-60 Black Hawk or similar) loudly flying over our residential area at low altitudes. They start at around 4 PM until 10 PM. Our entire house is shaking. Let’s hope nothing major is going on.

Do you have a local post or unit, that would be training?
Sorry, I am unable to answer your question. I am not in the Military and don't know anyone in the armed forces.
I see bombers and tankers and such flying over my town everyday.
It's normal for me.
I understand. In my case, I don't see frequent military aircraft in our area. Until 3 days ago, I saw a military helicopter 6 months ago during daytime. Typically it's a small personal plane or medical helicopter. Something is different this week. Let's hope it's positive.
I get excited when I see something I not seen yet or before, seeing them in the action of just flying overhead close enough to "feel them" leaves an impression. Once I saw a long silver tube with blunt ends just moving across the sky as a slower pace, didnt look to even have wings by my viewpoint lol. but was huge like a very big passenger plane. Just way up high and if it was making sound, it didn't reach me at my house. People suggested it was maybe a refuel plane maybe tilted at an angle where I couldn't see the wings. Another day, saw one of the big boy heli carrying what looked like an entire cell tower under it the tip of the tower stuck out in front of the heli just about as long as the heli itself (thats the one i was wondering how the piolet would land) it wasnt one of the open bottom carriers but the other ones lol
They're clearing out the Massholes...
Traffic will be glorious! 😁😁😁
😄
If I had Blackhawks flying around my neighborhood like that, I'd be hoping there was something big going down.
Only time I had copters flying over my house at night, was when I lived in Chula vista CA, and they had spotlights and all that just about every night... Living next to our border is loud, that much is sure. That being said, live nearish a Military base now so, use to jets, copters, huge arse haulers and even drones from time to time flying around at any given time.. in tandem, solo, carrying huge amounts of equipment, sometimes looking so big or long that, I cant see how the pilot is able to land. lol. Would love to record some tandem Blackhawks someday. 1. it is exercises gearing up for something somewhere in the world or 2. something is about to go down in your area.
Thank you for the explanation. 🙂👍
Those are badass helicopters! Enjoy!
Those Blackhawks are very nice. I wish they would fly during the day so I could see them under bright sun. 🙂
Us too, and I like it.
Nice. I love watching flying helicopters and airplanes. They make me feel like a 5-year old boy looking up at the sky. 🙂
Training for many has to have different terrain. Also they can’t visit the same locations day after day people would get annoyed.
What did you do? 😂😮🤣
Me: "I am sorry officer. My meme was dark humor. And just like food during Stalin's USSR, not everyone gets it." 😎
Probably training.
Lets hope something major is going on! 🙏
ArmyLady was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds several times. APG proof fired every single cannon tube before it went to the field. The windows in my quarters would rattle. HOO AH!
Shake, rattle and roll . . .
