I used to work for the VA hospital where I live. The vets are awesome people. Heard a lot of great stories about their service. I even had some WW2 vets as patients. They had the best stories to tell. Too bad there are not many left now. I feel honored to have heard their stories while they were still with us.
Absolutely. They were the best part of working at the VAMC. Can't stand the system itself, but they made it worthwhile. I became a bit of a medical patient's advocate for them to help them navigate and fight that ridiculous minefield. My intervention actually saved a few lives - lives that would have been lost just because of the way the system operated. I eventually lost my job there because I dared to buck the system. Don't regret it one bit.
I gave my congressman an earful when some other whistleblowers came forward regarding some other VA hospitals. At the time he was chairman of the House Veteran's Affairs Committee. That was during Trump's first term and some things actually got done for a change.
I had patients from every conflict the US was involved in since WW2. Even had some special ops guys that served dark off the books. That made things difficult for them later when they tried to receive medical benefits for their prior service. They had some really interesting tales to tell for sure. I know we have some Afghan vets here on GA.
We did crowd control in afghanistan and iraq. We aint scared of these fools and of inwas even 10 uears younger id be there. In my 60s and my wife already put up with me being gone for years. Good luck. By the way. We werent murdering in combat we were just killing.
I saw one video where bystanders were harassing an ICE officer, calling him names and telling him to quit and get a real job (or something) and he just calmly kept walking, but turned back and said, "This is the best job I've ever had. I love this job. I make 200k."
So, if that's true, a lot of retired veterans are gonna get some nice $$$.
Veterans who step up to defend his country on it's own soil... have already been through the refiner's fire. Stay out of their way, and out of their faces. I am extremely glad on ICE'S behalf that they will have the support of our veterans. That is going to be quite a domestic army, watching each other's backs. Stirs my soul.
Tell us how you really feel bro.
100K battle tested and hardened veterans? That's awesome. A great fit.
I feel good about this. I have no problem with this at all.
Actually know a lot of veterans and I am good friend with them. They are intelligent, and good to talk to.

They have interesting stories. They also have lots of knowledge. I learn a lot from them.

I am so glad. I have a friend from church currently a nurse in VA. Many veterans have very interesting stories like I said.
I want to talk to those from Afghanistan but don't know any from there. Be interesting.

Ask them about giants with 6 fingers and red hair please.

I am sure if you want to, you can go and work right now w/o any trouble. These fools are paid sissy.

Be good. Not only that, they feel a purpose and that helps them. Some people need that.

Exactly. Don't et those veterans mad.
"Every liberal off the street is a child in this country protected." He knows and is joining for the right reason
He is.
GOOD.
Definitely.
If I wasn’t so dang old I would quit my job and join ice. Take a pay cut gladly

Do you know why I trust this man 100%?
Because that smoke alarm wasn't chirping.
What do you mean?
