Nurses follow the anesthesiologist's instructions in regard to dosages being administered. Some nurse could back off on the dosage and unless the anesthesiologist was paying enough attention, they could get away with it, but probably would immediately be caught because the effects on a patient would be pretty noticeable.
Since when do nurses do anesthesia for anything. Its doctors who operate not nurses. Nurses give pills and empty bed pans.
