When Iranian thug regime is overthrown, China's railway plans to the Persian Gulf through Iran go bye-bye. China's 3 Million barrel / day smuggled oil from Iran by fake registered tanker ships will end. China is already cut off from the 1 Million barrel / day Venezuelan oil.
Also, Australia is planning to end China's 99-year "lease" of the Port of Darwin.
All China needs now is to get kicked out of African nations to end their exploitation and low-priced ore... and China will have serious problems.
The Venezuelan oil cutoff really hurt them. They needed that heavy crude for the military. My understanding is that they only had 3 months of strategic reserves of heavy crude earmarked for military use. Oh snap!
I bet Li Kashing is smiling right now. He hates the CCP - especially for what they have done to his beloved Hong Kong.
As far as Africa. Many of the citizens of some of those African countries are running the Chinese out on a rail for what they have done. The citizens are fed up with the abuse.
Plus, China was getting big discounts on the restricted oil from both Venezuela and Iran. The oil from Venezuela will start up again in the not too distant future, but at a market price. If there is regime change in Iran that we like, then Iranian oil will flow, but without the discounts. China has only 30 years of coal reserves left at current consumption. They are putting in renewables fast because they lost the US market and because they are starving for power. If they want to do AI, then they will have to take from the public. Europe also has a power problem regarding AI.
China is losing out on quite a bit these days.
