Why is it a big deal if someone searches for their own name? I think that’s a normal thing to do, I mean wouldn’t Trump search for his own name? Maybe I’m missing something
I don’t think they were searching for their own names; I think they were searching for their handlers names. This about more than just crimes against children; it’s a money trail, who is reporting to whom. We know Pramila reported to Epstein. What else did we find out through their searches? Problem is, now that they know what game is being played, the really smart ones probably didn’t do any searches for themselves (why staff wasn’t allowed) but that doesn’t mean low level reps didn’t do the bidding of senior level reps and report back to them. The panicking by the DS is about to get much worse, and when that happens is when the masses become casualties of their war.
But, in typical RICO investigations/prosecutions, low-level persons can - and often do - rat out higher-level persons to save themselves.

Lets say one of the congress members searched for a specific name, [unknown] victim, or company that has not yet been publicly revealed as connected with Epstein.
The question then becomes why search for that name in the Epstein files? Why, oh why?
And also, what connection does the congress critter have to that name?
Searching for something like that reveals a potential foreknowledge of criminal connections to pedo-island.

I agree that searching their own names is defensible. But it's likely that after searching their own names, they searched for their contacts, their handlers, their main donors, searches on behalf of close contacts, etc. The more specific searches, the more questions they raise.

What if congress critters were searching to see if their victims were in the Epstein files. What if they don't know if they fell for a honey trap or just thought that they victimized someone sent over by their friend the talk show host?
All kinds of potential things like that. One thing leads to another.
Even if there's nothing at all on the committee members in the Epstein files, just bringing the search history folders and displaying them changed the tone in the room. And she can say she was reviewing their searches to better prepare for their questions.
Definitely not evidence admissible in court.
