I understand what Maxpein is saying. “Understand” doesn’t necessarily mean “condone,” “agree,” or “sympathize,” but who doesn’t see that there is wisdom in not letting curiosity go unrestrained? Characters in horror movies die because they can’t seem to help themselves from peeking into every dark corner to see what is there. We watch imploring them run the other was because we know what’s probably going to happen.
The reasoning in Maxpein’s post seems motivated by crippling religious fear, like the fear of getting permanently dirty in a land with no bath water. I have met people like this. I have a cousin who won’t read anything in the news but the headlines because he doesn’t want to sully his soul with the details. But whenever he mentions it, it becomes clear that he is extremely proud of his method and the resulting preservation of his soul, so it seems to me that his cleanness isn’t very clean at all, and he can’t see it because his religious focus is so narrowly fixed on himself.
These are not the days to look the other way. My experience in more than 60 years of life is that if someone in authority forbids you to see something, hear something, or know something, that is the most important something you need to see, hear, and know. God is not a liar, and he’s not the one hiding this stuff. In fact, He tells us to expose and reprove the works of darkness (after making sure we aren’t doing it, too). Humanity has been in an existential crisis, and no one can close his or her eyes at this point because our liberation is in ruthlessly exposing the secrets of the ones who enslaved us.
I agree that unrestrained curiosity isn't in our best interest when it comes to things that are this horrific. It's not about fear, though.
I also have a friend who says it would interfere with her dharma to know what I know. That conversation is one I may always remember. Last time we spoke, she said that she does follow "everything" the president is doing. Apparently she feels it's her duty to know now (because he's the president). I'm going with the idea that if she really IS following him, it's only a matter of time before she starts to see.
But the point about what we allow into our field is an important one. The full armor of God is a thing, but people maybe make assumptions about that or something. I just know enough about this nasty shit to be going on with. Those on here making the argument that looking away keeps it going...nobody is saying to look away. It just comes down to self harm to lay eyes on someone performing evil deeds.
It's enough to know that they slaughter dolphins in Taji, Japan. If I watched videos of it (and I did) any more than I have, it would seriously wreck me. We do have to know that such things happen (i.e. satanic ritual fuckery), but we absolutely do NOT need to witness it first hand and take that into our personal field.

No one must sleep.
