Not mention fuel their economy and tech sector. And given we’re currently in a race with the Chinese to see who develops the AI-powered Robo Terminators first. That can only be beneficial for us long term.
It also cuts off a major source of arms and Munitions to the Black Market. And leaves multiple proxy groups along major shipping lines without clear supply lines. Increasing both the likelihood awkward questions about who is really supplying them start getting asked if these groups see no clear decline in their operational capabilities. Not to mention increases the likelihood of regional powers being able to roll them up on their own with minimal U.S assistance.
