"COMPLETE IMMUNITY", it does not get FAIRER than that!. And knowing how bad the situation in Iran has been for so long, many of these people just wanted to support their families. This is Christian principles at work.

Complete immunity, if you give it up, and abandon the evil regime. Otherwise, you're toast.

I imagine that it means complete immunity from the point of view of the US, but still might leave them open for prosecution by the new government if they have acted criminally.
