This event I have been told happened in a rough part of Austin. My question is Texas is a universal carry…so nobody shot back or was the bar full of libtards? Asking for a friend
"Austin is frequently called the "new LA" due to a massive influx of Californians attracted by a lower cost of living, no state income tax, and a booming tech/creative scene (Tesla, Apple). It offers a more relaxed, yet still hip, lifestyle with top-rated schools and a vibrant, yet fast-growing, urban culture."
Not quite - any business that derives more than 51% of its income from the sale of alcohol for on-premise consumption. They will have a "51%" sign posted. So you could carry at an Applebee's or a Chili's but not a bar or a microbrewery. The 51% sign posting is your clue if you can carry or not.
That said - you can't carry if you're intoxicated, and they don't define it very well. If you are over the .08 BAC that counts, but under that it could still count if they think you are "impaired". Good luck with that. The most I'll do if I'm carrying is have a beer or a glass of wine at the beginning of a dinner out. The alcohol would be gone when I finally leave the restaurant as long as it has been an hour or so. 9 out of 10 times I don't have any alcohol, but the other day I did get a margarita.

It's Austin, which is only technically Texas.

Spot on, fren just left Austin for good. Libs have targeted it and call it purple. Same thing Libs are doing to Idaho (Boise).
You cannot legally carry in any establishment that serves alcohol.
I was outside smoking- I swear😂
Works for me. :)
