Unfortunately all the Japanese players going to the Dodgers don’t care as it is close to home.
That’s another brilliant aspect of their deferred payment plan. They pay Ohtani enough now to buy some sushi and gamble a little. Then when he retires to some low tax haven, the Brinks truck pulls up and dumps the big amount on his front porch.
