I didn't hear that spoken when I listen 2x. I did hear shalom. There was also a search result that said Isa was Jesus in Arabic.
Why didn't the person objecting just give us a direct translation? And actually not sure the claim of what was said is what we refer to as sauce. Not saying you're wrong but that is rather strange behavior.
Ok, “claim of sauce” without direct provision of source. I thought I heard Isa, but I don’t speak Arabic or Farsi, so could totally be wrong.
Here’s the deal, whether the claim or the user notes are either true or false, human nature is to see something that isn’t liked and jump on it, teeth bared. 48-72 hr rule is and has been good. Engaging with skepticism is good. Having Muslims leave the country is good. Converting Muslims is good, if anyone knows how to do it. I’ve met someone who claimed to have converted 50 of them. My tally is at 0 for liberals, Muslims, and Jews alike. “Wen hab trophfee?”
Jumping on things reactively / emotively just pushes my autist trigger, especially when it’s everybody. Wasn’t trying to single anyone out (hence tagging the whole thread), and didn’t know the note hadn’t been there earlier. Sorry for leaning in so much! Kek.
I don’t disagree that hearing Arabic sounding language in a church is unnerving, yet I also suspect that Charles and a lot of “British” nobles have converted to Islam (there’s a history of this having been gradually happening for ~100 years), and seem to have absolutely no compunction about needing to use Arabic to spread it. Imagine if the English-speaking head of an entire major branch of Christendom was suddenly using his authority to quietly spread Islam. How could that be spotted and dealt with, especially as in this case it would also be the king of the country?
That sort of case is where pausing and thinking comes into play with regard to dealing with this stuff.
One of the things I treasure about this place is if there is BS we have folks like you who remind us. So, thank you..
What made me assume was how strange it was. People entering a sacred building would go to a seat and be silent, not stand at the entrance filming themselves singing. And then share it on the internet. One "pillar" of Islam is the admonition to lie to unbelievers.
Ahhhhh
I shall now dip myself in my own words of derpbath!
Isa is a girl name in Persian. See: https://www.theparentz.com/baby-names/isa

Thanks, and likewise! I definitely don’t catch everything myself. It takes many frogs.
Be sure to check the last two paragraphs I just edited in, because I seriously think that’s an actual issue for Britain right now.
