Not social justice. Not even close to it. This was a classic case of fight or flight reaction. The perpetrator knowingly and acted accordingly was threatening and terminating live(s) in an environment where the targeted “victims” were given no alternative choice but to fight or die. FIGHT OR DIE. They fought. Evil died. The perpetrator had a choice and chose to do evil to innocents. It was his choice, no one forced him. Because he made a bad decision, he had a price to pay and paid the price for a bad decision. He dead. End of story.
Kudos and a BRAVO ZULU ((job well done) to the students who chose to fight back instead of becoming a left winged MSM “tragedy” statistic….
I never read the book, but I saw the movie "I, the Jury" back in the '80s as a teen. Armand Assante and Barbara Carrera. It was a little campy, but I liked it and try to catch it whenever I see it's available.
My point is: That is an extreme limit of social justice.
Lefties are wonderful at extolling the virtues of 'social justice'. IT has led to all sorts of minor human rights abuses, such as censorship, etc., however, I have always contended that such actions are just a dreamed-up term for 'mob mentality'.
Things can get worse, with mobs:
When I was a kid I was told about Johan de Witt, the Prime Minister, who happened to be a Huguenot, (and his brother Cornelis), who were partially eaten by a mob in the streets, which is a documented historical event that occurred in The Hague , Netherlands on August 20, 1672.
(That horrifying, ungodly event led to lots of Huguenots fleeing from Flanders, and becoming Voortrekkers in a vast underpopulated continent....)
Of course one should fight back when being shot at.
The point was that: numbers, and intent, count. A group of people can act as one. And yes, people can die in those situations, even without guns.
Mob mentality can work both ways: some see the term as purely negative. However, in this case, it isn't negative, because they were protecting themselves, and others.

Amen. Hope for the future.
In other words, FAFO
That was a quick trial and sentencing
"I the jury find you guilty and sentence you to death."

"I never read the book"
...read the book...
Last I saw it was being reported an ROTC Cadet stabbed him to death. But instead the students beat him to death barehanded?
Damn.
*HAPPY ENDING! 💪👏⚔️
OK.
Social Justice.
"OK.
Social Justice."
...last I heard, Old Dom. is a "minority majority" school...

"One gets what one goes shopping for".
Grandpa Dog
zigackly.
I think people are mistaking my point here.

I was just extrapolating.
"I was just extrapolating"
...present this material in the form of a Venn Diagram and it will be cherished...
...doggy winks...
LOL.
My point was:
That's what social justice looks like, when it is used purposefully.
"That's what social justice looks like, when it is used purposefully."
...I understood...
...small consolation indeed...
Some things never change. First there was a PM "who happened to be a Huguenot".
Now there are a couple of PMs (CA/UK) that are Huge Nuts.
I thought he was stabbed with a knife by one of the ROTC students. But I can also see them all ganging up on him and beating the tar out of him.
Bro got what he came for: death
Pretty good day for GOOD. pretty bad day for EVIL.
God wins.
