Agreed. Given that China is so externally oil dependent they have worked for years attempting to secure as many sources of energy as they can.
With Trump's upcoming visit to China at the end of this month, it will be interesting to say the least. Xi's advisors have consistently painted a picture of Trump to Xi that has been wrong. They tell Xi that above all else, Trump is a business man and he wants deals. Yes, that is true; however, America First and our national security is his top priority. Xi has been clearing the way to offer Trump several gifts for the visit. Trump's gifts to Xi - Maduro, Khamenei, Cuba, the Panama Canal, etc.. I wonder if these latest revelations coming into the open about China's backdoor military/oil shipments will also be in that gift basket. Trump doesn't need this visit. Xi desperately wants this visit by Trump to bolster his current tenuous legitimacy within the Party.
This just came out today that talks about China's backdoor supply chain for oil, military aid, and financial lifeline to Iran.
