Can someone guess why Finland's forest land is so much worse to sink carbon than Swedish forest land? Yep, you guessed probably right! The main reason isn't that Swedish forests are magically "better" biologically, the forests in both countries are quite similar in climate, tree types, and conditions. Instead, the big gap comes from differences in how the two countries measure and calculate the carbon uptake in forest soils.
Finland is a moron. Sweden and Finland have similar forests but Finnish experts count that Finnish forests are worse carbon sinks which is why Finland gets billion dollar fines it has to pay now.
"Now his life is full of wonder, but his heart still knows some fear
Of a simple thing he cannot comprehend
Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more
More people, more scars upon the land" Might be one of the most prolific verses in a song ever written.
That's an interesting phenomenon. Same thing with Vermont B-grade maple syrup. Something about Vermont trees that only exists within the borders of Vermont. Step outside of the borders, and the maple syrup is just 'different'. Can't tell you why though.......
I have a gallon jug of vermont maple syrup amd i have canadian amd Maine maple syrups. I am a bit of a syrup lover. Vermont syrup is differemt but I dont find it any better tasting. Just a slightly different taste depending on whether its light or dark.

Based conservative, cautious Fins. They have a long history of being suspicious of 'facts' coming from 'authorities'/
I don’t think a positive attitude towards Finland is the response chucks was looking for. 🇫🇮🇫🇮🇫🇮👍👍👍
LOL, I have always been an iconoclast.

It's all in the marketing. See global warming/cooling/climate change.
