To be fair, that is him saying Iran is a threat to Trump, not to the US - even though they are the same thing. At least that was his explanation today.

Because apparently you have to wait until they finish building a nuclear weapon and point it at you before they become an “imminent” threat.
I've been waiting for over thirty years for them to build one. That was said a shit-ton of times over the decades.

he already ran for Congress here in Washington state, as a Republican. Not in my congressional district though, so I don't know a lot about him.
