Of course I have seen Haitians and Latinos driving the USPS cars in Naples and honestly I don’t know how they pass the test because it is in English and also I don’t think they are capable to pass it because you have to have a level of education or being a real American to understand. It is a little tricky.

That what the postmaster said, and confronted with the truth, he blew off the congressman like it never happened. This is the true sign of a deceiver. There is likely much more about this fellow that we should know about.
So it appears as tho commercial contracts are handed out....and the contractors staff with illegals......who can transport things such as ballots....and because they're illegal, they can't or won't testify to that.
I guess I'm the only member on GAW who will take up the mantle for the USPS, as a former employee. I understand the long standing joke about how postal employees are one step above DMV employees, yet my experiences within the postal service are completely opposite of what is portrayed here. Maybe it's because of where I was employeed, middle of America, and haven't actually seen how business is conducted on the coasts.
I do know that if you want a decent job, the postal service will hire you in a heartbeat. Good pay, great benefits, and a decent retirement if you start your career early in your life. Yes the unions suck big green donkey weenies, but that is something you've gotta deal with and understand how they operate. I was very fortunate to be in the clerk union and had a local president who was a mean #itch that hated the postal service.
As for the illegals driving, I never saw an illegal. The truck drivers were usually fat hillbilly rednecks who definitely were not Somalis. Maybe on the coasts there is more of illegals working than in the heartland. As a side note, in all the offices I worked , there was never any minorities. Only whites somehow got the jobs. But that was indicative of where I was located.
Where I moved to, I have not seen illegals who couldn't speak English. I am seeing personal vehicle with a sign instead of their usual little truck driving on the wrong side.
I used to live in Portland Oregon and Washington and the description of going into the post office and those people couldn't speak English were frequent there on the west coast.
USPS fails the people. Drivers decide whether they feel safe to deliver now. They are not dependable. Mail is super slow getting to destination— sometimes weeks.
The whole USPS is a train wreck. I go into the post offices now to mail something and it is an incompetent immigrant at the desk that can barely speak english. My caucasion postman who had a kick ass positive attitude and always left a bone at the front door when he had to walk up with a package has been replaced by a lazy assed person who won't deliver that day if they have to walk a package to my door that is too big for the box. When I try to strike up a friendly conversation with them all I get is attitude and underlying hate.....I want my old postman back....so does my dog.
Approximately 2 or 3 years ago, a small post office in middle TN was "closed" for over a month or more as a vehicle hit the front facade of it...gas vs. brake pedal incident, no biggie .some bricks fell down and maybe a gutter was displaced. I was frustrated after 4-5 weeks and noticed repair trucks in the back, so went around there to ask how much longer until it re-opened. I encountered the (ethnic from India, wearing sandals, shorts, gold chains and a scowl) owner and workers he contracted from 400 miles away in Memphis doing 'work' to the back areas. When it opened, I went inside to mail some Christmas cards with a Somali looking strange man who refused to give me "Christmas" stamps (I got party balloons or similar) He had few English words, it was very odd -especially way he looked at me. Creepy. So, upshot is I learned us post offices are privately owned and hiring is owner's choice. Called our local US House rep, Mark Greene RINO and guy answering phone didn't know about this at all. I now drive 7 miles out of my way to a smaller post office which I trust. I believe suspect it was rewired into a data gathering info center for stolen election ballots or spying on local residential/commercial business mailings. More cars/trucks in 'employee' parking lot than ever before. Our "red" county is turning purple. 🤔 Yes, we have influx of Californians, but still we are being targeted by NGO's and section 8 apts. - they come out at night w/illegals being taught how to shop at local Publix/Walmart.
Everything done in the quiet of the night. I am glad at least you take it up with your RINO rep. Let more people know and hound them. That's what I usually say but maybe it doesn't help.
Yes. We live in a world changing so fast. In olden days, newspapers and 'editorial' sections connected us, and now it feels more compartmentalized - so it's up to someone else to do something. 😂

I have been thinking about this. I think there will be more autonomous vehicles in the next couple of years and these jobs won't be so available.
Autonomous vehicles are safer than these drivers.
