Jesus flipped the temple tables over because they were converting foreign money into the native currency, then charging high fees to do so, otherwise known an usury, which was forbidden. This money was being used to buy the animals necessary for sin offerings.

It has been said that Mary Magdalene was wealthy and was helping to fund the mission of Jesus and the disciples:

These women were helping to support them out of their own means.
I.E. You Cannot atone your sins by buying them off.
Im still confused by the Women Folk,, if Jews, Men/ Women, Cannot Intermingle,,
Jesus DID Intermingle with Everyone, Men/Women, Young and Old.
He didnt Like the Temple judging on the Fashion of what one Wore to Worship God (the "Woman in Rags" that the other people wanted Out), nor that God needed Money for a place to Worship,,, (What Does God care, ) where how fancy what you wear or place you worship is , as long as you do)
The Jews of Jesus's time did not have any rules against men and women intermingling. Yes, modesty was practiced, but it didn't forbid men and women from talking to one another, or meeting in public for religious instruction, for example.
