Worries me a little that he was confirmed so quickly.
Senators seem to have a soft spot for other Senators though...
You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours...
Exactly. Nothing like Marco's 99-0 FFS, but still. Very odd that they didn't fight tooth and nail, just for the sake of it. Because Trump.
From the article: *"Fellow Republican Sen. Rand Paul voted against Mullin's confirmation on Monday.
Paul said last week that Mullin supported a 2017 attack against him and claimed the Oklahoma senator had anger issues. He voted against advancing his nomination out of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, which Paul is the chair of.
"You told the media that I was a 'freaking snake' and that you completely understood why I had been assaulted," Paul, a Kentucky senator, said. "Just wonder if someone who applauds violence against their political opponents is the right person to lead an agency that has struggled to accept limits to the proper use of force." *
Wow - Mullin's called Rand Paul a "freaking snake"? Well is there any truth to that accusation? Understanding why Rand had been assaulted does not necessarily mean that Mullins "applauds violence". It just means he understands WHY violence was directed toward Rand Paul.
I remember this. Thanks for adding context. Rand Paul changed his vote to not voting in the final tally.
