Halal meat is produced by dhabihah, a method where a sane Muslim cuts the animal's throat—specifically the jugular veins, carotid arteries, and trachea—with a single, swift swipe of a sharp knife. The animal must be alive and healthy at the time of slaughter, and the name of Allah is invoked.
Well at least they specify it has to be a sane muslim. kek
Ok so I just watched the video. I can see where you come from with the "sensationalized post" statement.
Buuut to be clear, the clean healthy animal part applies to all meat processed, at least in the US. Some animals are allowed a certain amount of disability depending on the situation. If they were treated they have to meet withdrawal times. In pork, herniated umbilical is common and those just get sent to slaughter. Cattle don't have many ailments that will allow them to be processed, aside from being crazy man eaters. That is an ailment for the producer kek.
To each their own but I, myself, think it is more humane to dispatch them with a bolt gun, which is how it's most commonly done. Or a bullet. I've slaughter my own livestock several times and this stuff doesn't bother me. 22 mag between the eyes takes down just about anything, but slitting it's throat and draining the blood, idk about that. If that was my only option, then sure, I'd do it, and have done it to downed deer that didn't die in the first few minutes. Idk, just my thoughts.
When I was 18 I worked at a slaughterhouse in Indiana, if a cow couldn't walk we had a winch that would drag it up to us where we'd hit it in the head with a hammer. If it had huge pus-filled sores, we just ignored it.
Or, it can be anyone who believes in their own God, as long as they are Christian or Jewish, not Hindu or whatever.
It's orthodox jews that do Kosher that have scary killing methods. We just bolt the cow and move on, they hang the cow by the back legs, then stick a knife in it's jugular and watch as it bleeds to death in pain while terrified and upside down. Then they drain the blood and inject the animal with salt water and then pack the food while praying over it.
It's forbidden for any non-Jew to touch Kosher food before it's wrapped in plastic.
That method of slaughter, if done correctly, is quick and more humane than some tortuous methods slaughterhouses/butchers have - and may still(?) - use.
Anyone who learns how Halal meat is butchered will never touch that vile stuff again.

That one sane Muslim must be very busy.
didn't know there actually WAS one sane muslim??
It's more a "clean, healthy animal" with approved methods thing, and is not only a slaughter by a Muslim invoking Allah, see a more complete explanation here - https://greatawakening.win/p/1ASZ3ZQpuM/x/c/4eaVRO5xIkE

I did not know that. I'm so uncultured. kek. But really, thanks for sharing.
Generally buy meat for the dogs only so I don't read.
If I have dogs I will not make them eat it either.

I have watched the animals butchered using halal method while growing up, on a regular basis. I would not call it either quick or humane.
I get ya. It's a nasty business/job. However, it seems the methods - like those in other kill operations/slaughterhouses - may have improved some over the past 30 years - (aplogies for google) - https://www.google.com/search?q=Is+commercial+halal+slaughter+more+humane+in+2026+than+it+was+in+1996%3F&sca_esv=057fc6654ed8140d&source=hp&ei=OujFaf21IN7akPIPrZP5oA4&biw=384&bih=600&oq=Is+commercial+halal+slaughter+more+humane+in+2026+than+it+was+in+1996%3F&gs_lp=EhFtb2JpbGUtZ3dzLXdpei1ocCJGSXMgY29tbWVyY2lhbCBoYWxhbCBzbGF1Z2h0ZXIgbW9yZSBodW1hbmUgaW4gMjAyNiB0aGFuIGl0IHdhcyBpbiAxOTk2P0iJrgNQnC9Y34cDcAF4AJABAJgBlwGgAcoyqgEFNTcuMTW4AQPIAQD4AQGYAkigAuo9qAIewgICECnCAhAQABgDGLQCGOoCGI8B2AEBwgIQEC4YAxi0AhjqAhiPAdgBAcICChAAGIAEGEMYigXCAgsQABiABBiRAhiKBcICCxAuGIAEGLEDGIMBwgILEAAYgAQYsQMYgwHCAggQABiABBixA8ICBRAAGIAEwgIIEAAYgAQYyQPCAgcQABiABBgNwgIHECEYoAEYCsICCBAAGAgYDRgewgILEAAYgAQYhgMYigXCAggQABiABBiiBMICBRAAGO8FwgIFECEYoAHCAgUQIRirAsICBRAhGJ8FmANI8QWFMP-4C3P3cLoGBAgBGAqSBwUyMC41MqAHn6MDsgcFMTkuNTK4B6I9wgcNMC4xLjguNDMuMTkuMcgH9giACAA
