I understand that our QOL is inexorably tied to the US Dollar being the reserve currency of the world.
But, do we really deserve it? Look at the fkng games our government has played with the rest of the world. They are a bunch of narcissistic “me-first” cunts. Look at what we are doing to maintain that economic superiority.
I don’t wanna live like a 3rd world peasant, but isn’t there a happy middle where everyone gets to play on fair ground? Are we working to create that world? Or is American Hegemony as good as it gets? I love my country and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else. But I also hate bullies.
I think we're in the "recapturing what was stolen from us" phase. After that, currency will be entirely asset-based and the world will have a relatively even playing field. Trump is just making up for our country being systematically reamed for the last 100+ years.
