This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment

Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.

Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)

So.... No more center Q medallion to quickly return to the Hot post sort. No more lightning in the banner. No username there either to quickly go to your personal comment-post history. Not sure why these features would be removed, but so be it.
Update: Thanks to anon u/Deaf_MAGA_Pede I checked my other devices and the GAW on Apple devices is back to normal. The anon suggested clearing cache, likely this problem on my tablet, and I suppose having hundreds of open windows is the culprit for this GAW oddity of mine. Going to take some time to clear.

Not sure if you're on desktop but I am, and I still see the Q medallion and was able to get to the "Hot" feed if I clicked on that, lightning banner is still there, however it looks like a different banner as I no longer see that "human face" to the immediate left of the Q medallion, but now I'm seeing a dog face (maybe it's just me?) and the username on the right, is still there and I'm able to go to my comment history/messages from there.
If you are on desktop, do a CTRL+SHIFT+R and it will force a cache refresh and should set it back to what it should look like now.
ETA: Site may mostly be back to normal, but the sidebar is still showing the EU BS lol
Thanks for the reply. I'm on a tablet and still don't have the noted features. I'll try clearing my cache and see if that resets it. Much appreciated, anon.
