EDIT: It's Saturday morning and I'm running a fever and feeling lousy. Clinic wants me to head to the ER. Off I go.

Hi folks. I'm at the age where it's time to start getting a colonoscopy and I'm having my first one later today.

I'm not feeling much apprehension other than I've never been put under before (all previous surgeries I've been awake for) and that I have my own family and another family that greatly depend on me financially. If something were to happen to me, it would be rather disastrous, especially for the other family.

Again, not terribly worried but there is some risk. I'd appreciate a quick prayer that the procedure will be uneventful today.
