Any slavery of Muslims was justified at the time, there's a little known period in American history called the Barbary Wars where North African Muslim terror regimes were attacking a young USA when its navy was still weak. They kidnapped, murdered, raped, tortured and enslaved American citizens until some well devised military operations ended it. They got what they deserved and so will Iran.

Muslim means "an adherent of Islam". The two terms are indeed fully interchangeable and synonymous. You are muddying the waters here, to what end?

I'm well educated about the Barbary pirates in the Barbary Coast and the role Jefferson played and freeing Americans from captivity.
