Jesus advised taking the log out of your own eye before addressing the speck in someone else's eye (Matthew 7:5), emphasizing self-examination over judging others. Maybe if you clean up and punish all the priests who sexually abuse children, you might have a seat at the table.

One of my favorite Bible Verses! I have wondered at times if you harm a child (Not like appropriate punishment) and you ask for forgiveness and let Jesus in your heart, would you be forgiven? She used to be really cool and worldly and fun and you always wished you could be like her.
But as she got older she got a little reckless. You bailed her out a few times thinking she'd get back on her feet and at first she seemed grateful.
But then over the years she got crazier and crazier. Pulling stupid stunts that put her in dangerous situations. You kept bailing her out and trying to protect her, but it only enabled her destructive behavior. Worst, she started blaming you for the situation she was in and got more and more shrill about it.
You know she's headed for a bad end, but you still remember the person she was and cherish the memories you have. And she's family. And she has a lot of family heirlooms that you know she'll just squander or destroy if she's allowed to spiral out of control - especially with the even crazier people she's starting to hang around with and even allowing to live in her house?
