I don’t believe in coincidences.
A few years ago I decided to read/ reread all the Clancy books / audio books. Guess what, the local library has basically purged them.
I should collect them all again from EBay, but so many books, so little time.
Instead, the library buys dozens of copies of each best-seller modern trash novels and there is still a waiting list of middle-class suburban mostly women, who can well afford to buy their own books that they choose to read! While voting for library property tax levies so fixed-income retirees have to pay for them! Then, after property-taxed citizens have paid for them, they excess the dozens of copies for a buck or two at the library sale, and buy dozens of copies of the next "best sellers" AND anime, and LGB alphabet books.
The library should be for preservation of worthwhile literature and references, right?? To the extent they still do that, they are non-circulating. For real library resources worthy of tax-payer support, one must go to the Main Library downtown and read them in person!
Library-science is another DEI blue haired profession which marginalizes the sacred purpose of the concept of a library! For political correctness indoctrination, for marketing to people who will vote for their endless levies, while giving lip service to their true function, which is the only claim they have for tax-payer support: ACTUAL literature that no one can dispute! actual reference works!
I saw the purge of reference material and the classics within the library system of the school district I worked in. Classical fiction and nonfiction books given away (at least the books weren’t thrown in the trash) to make way for computers so that students would have access to the internet - absolute BS. Not long after that, every student had a Chromebook but the books never returned. SMH
I agree. They can’t edit old books, that’s why they try their best to remove them from circulation.
There should be very little works of fiction in any library, especially not the soft porn murder mystery crap women seem to enjoy.

Tom Clancy died because of the plot of his most famous novel, Rainbow Six.
I've read many of the Tom Clancy books. My question is did Clancy get the stories from real occurrences or did some of the questionable real-life occurrences get their plans from Clancy?
Real occurrences. There are plenty of historical examples of the israelis disguising bombs as normal objects. The pager attack was not the first time they did that, merely the most sophisticated example of it.
