I am so happy for her. Jesus is looking for us to try. We may not be perfect, but we keep trying.
Agreed. We shouldn't see it as hell/fire insurance, that in my opinion is an unrepentant heart. But I know I have continued to sin wether it be anger, struggles with porn, just my own brokenness. I recognize it as sin, that i have hurt God, I want to turn from it and do, but I walk my walk imperfectly.
P.S. not saying that you were saying the hell insturance with your comment. Just wanted to add to it, as I have had many months of struggling with the thought that because I keep struggling i have compromised my salvation in some way, yet I know God is greater than that, and who am I to say our relationship has changed when He has never changed.
Our sins are forgiven through Jesus. But we should all try to do a little better and better. Not only does this make us a better person, but also a better society. When I was doing expert AI quite some time ago, I realized that the Bible was using a similar approach to achieve the correct emergent behavior in society.
