Indigenous Americans deserve to be recognized for being here 1st in addition to the civil war they fought hard to try to keep the lands that were taken by European invader and those that survived were FORCED onto reservations. Yes this country evolved into a nation of what it is today but it is shameful IMO that the very thing we celebrate for our countries Independence from Cabal/Criminals (past and now present)is somewhat the same as what this government did to our Indigenous families of America.
Which set of Indians? There were at least three different invasions of Indians who came from Asia (proved via Y-DNA). There are more Indians in the US today than when the English first arrived. Also, I'm pretty sure most Indians today don't live on reservations. For example, no Lumbee Indians live on reservations. I don't think any Eskimos live on reservations. We won the war against a totally uncivilized culture that didn't even have the wheel. At least they had gotten to the point of having fire.
I used to think the same way until I became acquainted with an archeologist who specialized in studying American Indian cultures. The indigenous tribes were not living peacefully amongst themselves -- in fact they were cannibals. (Believe me, that surprised me when he told me that fact!) So the New Age delusion that the vicious settlers stole the land from the peaceful "at one with nature" Indians isn't exactly the truth. Individual tribes were eating one another and constantly at war with one another. It was more of a case of survival. Whoever was left standing in the midst of chaos ended up with the land.
Illegal aliens.
"Migrants" implies lawful entry.
Stop using the Left's language.
or wetbacks🤣
The Eisenhower Administration created Operation Wetback.
There are still those that came here legally that are gaming our system and voting for democrats. The migrant term is all encompassing.
