It sounds like there are 3 entities that Trump is communicating with. The remaining politicians; the IRCG and the military. We are waiting for the military to take out the other two. I am sure we have the deal that we want with the military/alternative government. We may have to give them a hand, but Trump wants them to do it on their own.
The Artesh, Iran's conscript military, are basically powerless other than having some basic weapons. The mullahs never have trusted the Artesh so the IRGC is there to protect the regime and they are the real military power in Iran. Therefore, the Artesh has been very limited as to what weapons and supplies they actually have access to. Only those provinces that are extremely loyal to the IRGC and the ruling mullahs have some degree of strength - but it is highly controlled.
There have been defections and desertions in the Artesh, and like the people of Iran, supposedly they are waiting to take action when called to do so by the Crown Prince. Trump knows what is taking place but he publicly needs to keep his distance so it doesn't appear like he is involved. You are right in that the people of Iran must do this themselves - with support from the US and Israel. We will see in due time what level of support the people have from the Artesh. Many of them at this point I believe are not getting paid and have left their posts and gone home.
Even the government officials have never really held the reins of power. They are only the face of the Republic to show to the people and the world some form of government apparatus. The IRGC, although running the show at the moment, do not want to be involved in direct negotiations for fear of becoming a target. So they send the government lackeys to do their bidding. But even though those lackeys prefer to make a deal, they are still just as hardline as the IRGC and know their days are numbered. The people see no difference between the two. I am surprised that Araghchi has not defected unless he is so surrounded by IRGC members when he travels that it makes defection nearly impossible.
The only goal of the regime at this point is survival. They know if they give up any ground to Trump they will lose the support of their base, which is already showing signs of fracture. Their own propaganda has backed them into a corner they cannot get themselves out of. If the base turns on them that base could join forces with the rest of the Iranian people, the majority, along with the Artesh. The regime is terrified of another uprising. So they have brought in foreign militias from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Syria, to control the people. When their own IRGC forces, the Basij, the Artesh, and the rest of the people are not getting paid, the only ones left will be the militias that will have no reservations about slaughtering Iranians - as long as they are paid to do so. Their only loyalty is to the money.
I heard that No Korea has sent Iran counterfeit dollars via the northern China/Iran rail corridor since all the rest of their financial pipelines to get their hands on real dollars have been slowly shut down. Probably so they can continue to pay their protection forces. This rail corridor had sections of it bombed by the Israelis. But China managed to repair those bombed sections within a few days during the ceasefire so they can continue to send Iran supplies. Trump's blockade and Treasury together are inflicting more damage on the regime than what the bombs did. Brilliant!
You are most welcome fren. I stay pretty informed when it comes to geopolitical happenings, especially when it involves the CCP and their proxies - that would include Iran, Russia, and No Korea. You can learn a great deal actually listening to people with connections inside these countries instead of the talking heads promoted by MSM who usually headline the official government propaganda. Trump is putting the squeeze to all of them and their economies are failing which then leads to fracturing within the government. It's an amazing thing to watch Trump and his team in action.
I would expect to see panic within their proxy networks here inside the US also take a hit due to the strained finances and the dismantling of the CCP's shadow banking networks that fund them. Dems loosing their funding resources which cause them to double down on fraud here in the US. Trump and company are waiting for them to expose themselves. Trump is operating a massive global smackdown.
Outstanding. I had a great friend that that gave me great scoop on China but he passed away due to cancer. I have an unusual collection of friends and friends of friends that give me tidbits on quite a bit of stuff and I fill in the rest. I look forward to your posts.

Your assessment is correct.
