A Constitutional Convention should likely be a last resort. As there is no necessary guarantee of the results. And that ultimately means everyone and their brother both foreign and domestic is going want their say.
And given we struggle to conduct elections without foreign interference at the moment. A Convention is likely going to have no shortage of extremely wealthy interests trying to influence the outcome. And American politicians whether federal, state, or local aren’t exactly known for refusing bribes.
Let's wait and see what SCOTUS does with it. We may not need to go as far as a Constitutional Convention.
