The whole program went to hell when they changed from actual "food stamps" which a lot of people were embarrassed to use to cards that looked just like a credit card. Then the "trust" method rather than verifying information on the applications.

Wow! And to think I was pissed about a girl at work bragging about paying cash for cards at a steep decrease. I have made several enemies over the years because I can’t keep my mouth shut.

Most Americans would think it strange that someone getting out of a Maserati or a Tesla is receiving SNAP benefits, because most Americans would realize that this person is playing by a different set of rules. While honest citizens are tightening their belts to pay taxes to support other people, thieving fraudsters are abusing and working the system.:

-Drive by most Welfare offices and you can pick out the cars owned by the workers and the ones owned by the "recipients".

Wu Tang Clan's Ol' Dirty Bastard showed the country how screwed up the welfare system is during an interview on MTV back in the 90s. He had his baby momma with him and a couple kids, all wearing designer clothing and jewelry as his girlfriend cashed a bunch of welfare checks. They then went shopping with the money. There was initial public outrage about it but was quashed by the media after a few days. "Coincidentally," a short time later he "overdosed" and died.

There have been journalists who have spoken out about the fraud in the welfare system, but a lot of them end up with ruined careers after they expose it.

I hope really, we don’t need that program. I want it gone.
