He's 81 years old, for Pete's sake. I'm younger and have had two trips to the ER in the past year. No lurkers in the darkness for me, just old age and maladies. Plenty of my high school classmates have already passed on. God calls us all at His choice of time.
Agreed, the timing is just interesting at the very least.
That said, I can't imagine that Rudy didn't teach any of his children the basics of what he knew & how to proceed against corruption.
Still sending prayers for him & also for yourself. Visits to the ER can add up fast financially.
