Leaving dogma behind I want to encourage you to take your life questions, that may include concerns over how the Catholic Church abused you, directly to our Creator, the loving Father you spoke of, cause He is indeed that, above all else. He speaks to use through His divine word. His word can be trusted because it was inspired by our Creator who knows us best.
His word stands up to history. His word stands up to scientific study. His word stands up to logic and truth, pfft! It’s the basis of logic and truth. His word stands up to everything in this world. He is the Master Designer that weaves everything together.
If we don’t seek our answers through Him, we will most assuredly be led astray. He has given us all the answers. He even warned us of the end from the beginning, about the dangers that came, and will continue to come our way. He has warned us of false prophets claiming to be Him. I’m afraid Urantia may be in that category.
I encourage you seek Him through the Bible. Through His own presentation of Himself. I am not here to argue for which one. If they are Bibles, they are all the same where it matters and only differ on minor things that have no bearing on salvation. The Spirit guides each one of through those questions and perils.
I want to also recommend a book that will accompany research in the Bible. One that will help you find the answers you seek in the Bible. It offers no advice other than logic and truth and where each concept is rooted in biblical scripture.
