There's almost always more than one way to solve a problem... The unelected technocratic elite decides which are allowed. If it helps them retain control be that through patent or facilities they'll go with that. Same with AI. Every so called medical breakthrough they allow it to solve is by design. Humans come up with solutions and get cancelled dead. BigPharma suppresses cures. BigTech suppresses real technological progress. For profit and control.
