Back in the day (50s-60s), Dodge was an operating division of the Chrysler Corporation, alongside the Plymouth and Chrysler divisions (there was also a division that made big ballistic missiles, but hardly anyone knows about that). Dodge was the division that made pickup trucks. At first, they were Dodge trucks. Then as an advertising thing, they became Dodge Ram trucks. Then the trucks were split off as a separate Ram division. (In the 1980s, Chrysler Corporation absorbed American Motors, and let everything pass away except the Jeep product line, which still continues as its own division.)
Not a Dodge Ram.
Dodge has not owned the Ram brand since 2009.
Stellantis owns Ram.
Stallantis also owns Dodge… and everything else Chrysler.
Technically Dodge never owned Ram, Chrysler did.
