I'm just curious about Taiwans situation, is it any different than United States 🇺🇸 is too CUBA or Hawaii, China and Taiwan are about 81 miles about vs Hawaii is 1700 miles, Cuba is 90 miles. So why shouldn't China have a lot to say about Taiwan just as the USA does with CUBA? Just saying.
Taiwan produces the majority of the world's advanced semiconductors. Cuba is a communist shithole with negligible exports that can barely keep the lights on.
Trump could allow some Taiwanese people and companies to move to the US as political refugees like what he has been doing with South Africa. US gets the people we want and CCP gets the thorn out of their side and eventually takes Taiwan back without bloodshed and without losing face.
I can't see this island as a choke point, its very easy for any ship to divert round it, I doubt if maritime insurance would allow them to transit inbeween China and Taiwan, not even DJT's insurance.
