The Bank of England wants to replace Winston Churchill with animals on its banknotes. The public can vote on 18 different animals, including dolphins, red foxes, barn owls, and pine martens. This proposal centers on changing the design of British currency to feature wildlife instead of the former prime minister. Voters will select from a list of 18 animals as potential replacements. Specific options highlighted include dolphins, red foxes, barn owls, and pine martens. The plan opens the decision to public input on which animals should appear on the notes. Winston Churchill has long appeared on certain denominations of Bank of England currency. The shift would mark a notable change in the imagery used on British banknotes.
Well the truth is: HE was one of them - armchair-general politician, who worked by the seat of his pants, and sought all sorts of dirty tricks to get what he wanted. His military knowledge stemmed from reading accounts of previous wars, being a bit of a battleground-enjoyer, and such study is always fraught with propaganda. We know that he was chronically bad at Math, so he would have avoided the dry and boring logistics stuff - in favor of the James Bond legend.
Nazi Germany was never defeated. They spread out like wild-fire, all over the globe. And we are only just beginning to realize that Nazi Germany was absorbed, not defeated. Many were killed, no doubt. But many also put on civilian clothes and kept their heads down, while reproducing.
And it's becoming a little too obvious now.
Maybe we shouldn't mention the war. I did, but I think I got away with it. - Basil Fawlty
Other parties in favor of the 'change' want the 'defeat of Nazi Germany' to go away, I mean, serious movies such as A Bridge too Far show the utter chaos British AND American leadership was in, due to nepo-babies in the ranks, and completely ideological battle-plans, made with extreme short planning. So, Churchill's face reminds one of that, not the heroic yelling propaganda from the black and white war-movies
This is a movie about the man who flew with him
And because it wasn't really Britain that 'defeated' Germany - they merely conducted mosquito pinpricks, and later, bombing raids, with the help of the Americans, etc.. Britain's geographical separation helped a little in their resistance, as it prevented motorized brigades invading, But you see, invasions into Britain don't happen fast, they happen over decades, like the Beaker-people in Neolithic times, or the Romans, who managed it after a century of raids. And the Vikings took 200 years of raiding to finally do it properly in 1066.
But really, it was the Soviet Union who took the brunt of that land-war (World War eleven). So for that reason, maybe the face on the money should be a bit 'friendlier'. After all there are so many descendants of Nazis walking around that feel offended. And anyway, who will object to an animal? /ssssss
Churchill was a cabal guy, a war criminal.
His name should live in infamy.
Not on a bank note.
A new money system should solve that.
Agree. He was a massive fuktard.
I'm still not convinced...do you have good digs I could study?

Thanks dear fren!
You are welcome.
In my opinion, there were no good guys among the national leaders of WW2.
These psychopaths killed millions in planned genocidal bankster wars.
Just checked the links... heartbreaking! 💔🤬
You are correct ...
I am sorry fren.
Don't be sorry...we MUST have TRUTH however painful...
So they are going from the Greatest Generation to Zootopia. Good lord
Updooted for zootopia. 🐇
Just when you think things can't get dumber, then this happens.
The victorious animal was an Eagle, an American Eagle.

No pigs?
I was thinking budgies or hedgehogs.
Budgies...there's a word I haven't heard in a while.
