Collins is pretty pathetic but WAY better than a democrat senator.
It costs money to primary a person like her.
One has to wonder why the Republican Party in Maine is so liberal. Has been for decades.
"Susan Margaret Collins (born December 7, 1952) is an American politician serving as the senior United States senator for Maine since 1997. A member of the Republican Party, she is Maine's longest-serving member of Congress and the longest-serving Republican woman in the Senate."
Remember this guy? "William Cohen served as a U.S. Senator from Maine from 1979 to 1997 and was known as a moderate Republican. He later became the Secretary of Defense under President Bill Clinton from 1997 to 2001."
People like these get the endorsement and money of the Republican Party in Maine. I don't get it. I guess no one bothers to root out the RINOs in Maine and they have control. It would take an extensive and probably expensive grass-roots conservative revival. REAL Mainers would rather go fishing or hunting, and I am not kidding.
She was vote #50 on the Mike Lee version of the Save America Act - of course this version needed 60 votes in order to pass but Thune no longer has an excuse to not do the talking filibuster to pass the save act. That’s why she’s getting Trump’s endorsement.
I'm at: where was a competent America 1st candidate from Maine?

Could this be why she reversed her vote on the Save America Act?
Agree. Hanging on to the Senate is top priority. You said it. A real MAGA conservative would never get elected in Maine.
