I really thought this "cause" for lack of a better word, would bring us together as a country but from what I see it does not - because the left hates giving any type of credit to the Trump administration. To them hating him overrules loving and protecting kids. How are we going to keep these kids away from with these people in the future when so many are teachers, counselors, nurses, foster parents, social workers, etc.???
I've heard them say that it's those idiosyncratic things about him that we champion, that primes them to not trust anything he does. The hyperbole, the trolling, the double-triple meaning, the code talking, the special meanings and in group language that turns them off during times like these when there is a shining example of good and righteous deed done. We love that stuff. Every day we laugh and enjoy it. They dislike those things and haven't spent their time the way we have. They don't get the jokes so they stopped listening, and just see the memes. That's what I've heard from the normie in the street.
you need to understand with the left for the individual it is caring about only one or two issues to the exclusion of all other issues. most leftists will ignore isues in other areas because something like abortions is just more important then ilegals or the invers of that allowing illegal aliens is more important then abortion. this is how you get good catholic ignoring abortion and siding with abortion there reasoning is a family member is illegally here so they support illegal immigration and ignore any thought they have on abortion
I believe you have eloquently pointed out exactly why a small few are lost forever. Those lost are hyper focused on their own personal issues that they bathe themselves in the victimhood olympics and create a shell identity around it to protect from looking inward and doing some self reflection. Without self reflection it is harder to take the next step which is empathy for others.
I think when the "sponsors" are pointed out and openly brought to justice will be the initial shock and unifying point for Americans and the world IMVHO.
