LA, glam city with Hollywood, commutes of hours on crowded highways, hence pollution.
"People were drawn to Los Angeles by its mild climate, abundant land, and successive economic booms driven by gold, agriculture, oil, and the birth of the entertainment industry. A succession of infrastructure developments, like transcontinental railroads and the massive aqueduct system, turned the region into a major global metropolis."
LA city center is now a cesspool. Maybe that can be turned around. Should it be?
WHY should such a massive city be placed where there is not enough water? And Los Angeles is rated one of the country’s worst cities for air pollution,
"LA exists in a basin, surrounded by mountains on one side and the beach on the other, trapping air pollution between them."
I agree with President Trump that our great cities should not be allowed to degenerate into third-world conditions. Maybe the city center, the historic sections, should be preserved.
But let us analyze LA as a place such a massive city with extensive highways and long hours of commutes, should not have been placed?? CA claims to be eco-friendly, but LA is one of the biggest offenders on the continent!!
WHO NEEDS LA any more?? Hollywood produces films everywhere. IMHO preserve the historic districts, let the rest of it go??
Water rights and engineering the water system. LA was funding and building big water projects, then selling the water to towns at a high rate. It was cheaper for them to be part of the LA tax base than to buy LA water.
It's pumped over the mountains from the Central Valley. They have a great port, but distribution gets jammed in LA traffic. They have plans to build rail lines through the city and bring the cargo to Nevada, etc.
Father, please protect this man. In The Lord Jesus Christ's name, I pray!

LA is basically the size of Rhode Island. How did LA get so big? Water. What stopped the growth of LA? A damn broke.
So water brought to the LA Metropolis from other places?
