theres a term called false consensus effect. your brain assumes other people think like you do. Studies show people with authoritarian personality score higher than the general population.
which means their entire identity rests on one belief. im normal and everyone else is fringe
so when someone walked up and called them weird, it landed as an existential threat
The core belief being threatened was simple,
i’m normal, and the world is supposed to confirm that
when someone reacts to one word with that level of rage, you’re seeing a fragile identity, desperately looking for confirmation
now lets apply what she (?) just said, to trans gender people
sorry but her falsetto fake voice screams trans feminizing vocal coaching
yes that’s a thing
The case can also be made that many people who believe in their own rightness don't really believe it at all. I mean the ones who need other people to confirm what they believe because they are actually insecure about it and full of doubt.
You can tell who they are because they get angry with anyone who doesn't agree with them. It rocks their world when they come across someone with a firm conviction that is different from their own. They NEED confirmation form literally everybody that they are right because they aren't really sure about that despite however loudly they declare it.
It's the reason some turn violent over seemingly trivial matters.
And they can't explain why they think they are right! I have never encountered such a large group of people who seem to be totally incapable of stating why they believe the way they do!
