Maryland, the California of the East, has banned glocks and glock style pistols starting Jan 1, 2027.
The National Rifle Association of America (NRA), the Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC), and the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF) jointly filed a complaint in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. The lawsuit names Maryland Governor Westley Moore, Attorney General Anthony G. Brown, and Acting State Police Superintendent Michael A. Jackson as defendants in their official capacities.
The legal challenge targets Maryland Senate Bill 334 (SB 334), which Governor Moore signed into law on May 26, 2026. Set to take effect on January 1, 2027, the statute prohibits the manufacture, sale, purchase, or transfer of what it defines as a “machine gun convertible pistol.”
They sue and even if they win, the guilty parties who are perpetrating this incessant attempt to disarm Americans won't feel any financial pain; any remuneration will effectively come out of taxpayers' coffers (aka the great siphoning of funds by lawyers during societal upheaval). Other than to put further check marks against the evil beasts (like "The Honorable" Gavin Newscum) in the annals of history, the beasts are free to try for their next gun grab.
Edit: changed "renumeration" to the correct word "remuneration" (thanks to anon killerspacerobot for the correction)
Thank you. I wouldn't mind, but I'd looked it up before saving the comment to ensure the word was what I'd wanted to convey, didn't even notice the spell-checker on ddg had auto-corrected it before giving me the dictionary definition. So, thank you, again, for doing so.
I wish the tortures of Hell on all errant spell-checkers. I have constant fights with that on my cell phone msm texts. At work, I was routing a memo to a man named Gadler, who was a devout Catholic. The spell-checker converted his name to "godless".
It turned out that by inserting a specially-machined part into the Glock's internal mechanism, the gun can be made to fire automatically. The part has since been made illegal to own. But some states are so obsessed that they want to make the firearm itself illegal to own. This is an example of idiots dictating to wiser people.

This is ridiculous, they are banning them because they are criminals themselves and want defenseless citizens. They need to be arrested NOW
They just never give up do they.

We really need civil rights violations performed by the gov't to be a felony for all parties enacting.
I think you mean to say "remuneration." It is a common misspelling. (My dear wife, no dummy, is prone to it.)

Seriously? To a Glock? That’s a simple gun. What’s going on here?

I was going to buy one but I ended up purchasing a memecoin instead. Oh well!
