I don't think that is feasible. Most degrees will not meet the criteria, since they are basically worthless. Pell grants will not be able to fill the void.
Think about how low the tuition would have to be for people to not need any loans to pay for 4 or 5 years of college... that is not going to happen.
If this sticks (and the people evaluating the criteria don't blatantly cheat), this would probably end universities as we know them.
Who said it would be a bad thing? People's reading comprehension is really lacking. The only thing I am worried about is that the rules won't stick, or that the people evaluating the various degrees will cheat so they would still qualify for loans.
Considering companies want to eliminate entry level jobs but keep entry level pay, I'd say most things are low wage. That's even if you can get a job these days. Not to mention the fake job listing companies use just so they can report growth.
Not the best time to be college age.
I guess some colleges will just have to drop their tuition rates if they want to continue to offer these low-wage degrees.

College isn't the only route to a satisfying and well-paying career.

Where will we get our nation's future philosophers, rap artists or underwater-basket-weavers if they can't get college degrees?
All that can be self taught.
They can go to college for the college experience and not have to repay student loans.
This is what I voted for
This is long overdue
Now each University Foundation will increase their Development Officers quotas to raise more money for Student Scholarships.

This is a first step in much needed economic analysis of what these degrees yield from a NPV perspective.

They can still get Pell grants. Butt hurt libs are scared they won't get college aid for wanting to study rainbow flag education. Go figure.
