For many years my wife who worked within the local school system noticed how "fluid" the administrators were with school funds. They would hire people without an interview as long as they were related to someone (controlled) even though they had minimal or no qualifications at all. It became apparent that the name of the game was who can they trust to keep everything quiet and protect their "System".
We had to pay for my son's specialized testing ourselves since the schools are VERY careful to not risk their budget for a proper student diagnosis (dyslexia). My wife and I started pushing back against the local school system and their defenses went up immediately when we showed up with an Educational Advocate. They ducked and weaved and were very well trained in the art of not documenting anything and not following through.
We decided to hire an attorney that specializes in education and is SUPPOSED to represent my family. This lawyer-dolt couldn't even get our kid's name correct but sure as s#!t she ALREADY knew the superintendent, principal and the school's lawyer on a first name basis even through she's supposedly working in a different county.
We discovered on our own that the superintendent has $10,000 carved out annually for himself and another $5 - $7,000 budgeted for his principals as part of a nationwide "Association" that helps educate them on tactics to lower their costs per student and can contribute up to $1 million in damages.
The Dept of Education is corrupt from the top all the way to the bottom.
On the campaign trail i thought I heard Trump say he wanted to eliminate the Dept of Ed. federally and send control of public education back to the states.
Using teachers' union dues for a private project is arguably a violation of federal labor law. This intrudes into possible violation of a union's tax exempt status and IRS reporting.
