Revelation is speaking of Jews from the tribes of Israel. There will be 12,000 from each of the twelve tribes.

Revelation 7: 3 - 8 (KJV)

3- Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

4- And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

5- Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6- Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nepthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand. 7- Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand. 8- Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

Jehova's Witnesses say there will only be that many from all humanity over all millenia. Pretty depressing.

Revelation 14:

1 And I looked, and, behold, a Lamb stood on the mount Zion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

2 And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

In the spiritual interpretation of the book of Revelation the famed 144,000 is the ascended church in Christ. The 144,000 is the spiritual order of the Holy Spirit in each individual Christian soul.

Behold means to see what the symbols are saying with the spiritual mind. Revelation 1:7 is the first usage in the book of Revelation. "Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him" every eye is the spiritual understanding of each individual Christian soul.

Everyone know the Lamb is a symbol of Jesus Christ. Mount Zion is a typology symbol of where king David reigned from. The symbology is that Jesus Christ reigns as king, in each individual Christian soul.

The chapter 7 sealing in the forehead of the 12,000 of each tribe of Israel is a symbol of the Holy Spirit sealing each individual Christian soul with the ascended spiritual reality of each tribe. The tribes symbolize God's intent in the mind of Christ instilled in each individual Christian soul by the Holy Spirit active and alive in that soul. The carnal mind can not recieve spiritual reality.

In the spiritual interpretation of the book of Revelation, the hearing of voices is the soul hearing spiritual things by the Holy Spirit interpretation in their own renewed spiritual mind. God, Jesus Christ, and the individual Christian soul comune in the Holy Spirit active and alive in that individual Christian soul.

In the spiritual interpretation of the book of Revelation the throne is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. The four beasts and 24 elders are the living part of the throne, active and alive in each individual Christian soul. The living throne of God is in each Christian soul.

and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

In the spiritual interpretation of the book of Revelation 144,000 is symbol for perfect spiritual order in Christ. Each soul is a part of the spiritual order of the 144,000 when they become members of the ascended church in Christ. The carnal order can not learn the song of the 144,000 because the song of the 144,000 is victory in Christ, overcoming Babylon.

These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins.

In the spiritual interpretation of the book of Revelation the symbol of purity is no mixture with Babylon(woman), these saints have been born anew, and new creation, and they've learned to abide in Christ alone.

These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth.

The spiritual order of the 144,000 has learned to ascend in the Spirit to where God and Jesus Christ dwell. That is the purpose of the Holy Spirit gifted to every Christian soul that puts faith in the life, kingdom, and reign of Jesus Christ.

These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Each individual Christian soul is the redeemed from among men(Adam). Every soul that follows Jesus Christ from zion, that is spiritual kingdom and kingship, is the firstfruits unto God. These are they which believe the Revelation 1:3 logos of the prophecy of the book of Revelation.

And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

The spiritual order of the 144,000 is every Christian soul that abides in the Holy Spirit built kingdom in Christ. The throne of God is symbol of the Holy Spirit in each individual Christian soul. The Christian is made righteous, washed pure, in Christ.
