Mike Lindell has recently discussed giving amnesty for illegal aliens. While this is likely going to be controversial here, this may be a good move. Immigrants fill in gaps in the labor market and often start businesses which creates more jobs and improves the tax base. I think this is good optics for the normies as well. We all make mistakes and this kind of amnesty shows that we are reasonable. What makes this even better is that if you offer amnesty, then these immigrants are no longer illegal. Maybe there is a middle ground here, where we can allow amnesty for illegal immigrants who show they are working and integrating into society. Then we don't have to spend so much money deporting them, which is sucking up a lot of tax dollars right now. The Great Awakening is for everyone, regardless of country of origin. I can't wait to see how the Dems are going to fume about this latest move, its brilliant.

Why is it outside of the question? Deporting costs a lot of money and doesn't make sense in all situations. If someone is working hard, paying taxes, and integrating into society, I think we should consider it.
Also, why does it matter if it is "fair" to other immigrants? Is it a problem if we are more generous to some, more than others? Is it unfair that one immigrant has to get work visas, background checks, and pay huge costs, while another can simply marry an American and be greenlit through the whole process? No one promised life would be fair, and some people are naturally going to have advantages. Your push for things being "fair" sounds like some leftist DEI initiative.
The legal immigrants came thru the front door. Thieves always try to break rules to enter your house. Most illegals are losers in their native land. That's why they have to sneak across the border. Follow the law if you don't want problems. People that put in work to do things the right way appreciate their accomplishments. illegals never become Patriots. Illegal immigrants show drive and initiative. The real losers are those who stay home. The legal path to immigration is difficult and many people don't qualify because they don't have enough money. Traveling to the US, sneaking across the border, and then making that money here shows initiative, and is the kind of bootstraps mentality that built our country. We shouldn't allow people to be parasites, I agree. What about those who have jobs, pay taxes, and don't use any benefits?

If you trespassed somewhere 5+ years ago, I wouldn't hold that against you. You can call it a free pass if you like. Many immigrants are the same as you in terms of having a job, paying taxes, and not using benefits.
The immigrant that does the work and deals with the requirements to enter the USA, demonstrates character and intelligence needed to become an asset to America rather than a drain on the American economy.

Everyone makes mistakes. The question is, can someone learn from their mistakes and be a productive member of society? Most crimes have a statute of limitations. If someone has lived in the US for years (or decades), works hard, pays taxes, doesn't commit crimes, and has conservative American values, why wouldn't we want them to stay? Deporting people like this is just shooting ourselves in the foot when they could be an increadible asset. That's what Mike Lindell understands.
